Who We Are
Lighthouse Café & Beacon Coffee is a family- and veteran-owned café located at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, 100 Brewster Blvd, Bldg NH-100, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547. This policy describes how we handle information collected through our website at lighthouse-cafe-seven.vercel.app.
What We Collect & Why
When you place an online order we collect:
- Name and phone number — to prepare and identify your pickup order, and to notify you when it is ready.
- Order details and pickup time — to fulfill your order accurately.
- Loyalty program phone number — if you opt in to our Square Loyalty rewards program, we associate points with your phone number.
Payment card data is handled entirely by Square. We never see, store, or transmit your card number, CVV, or billing address. Square’s privacy policy governs payment data: squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy.
SMS/Text Message Notifications
When you place an online pickup order and provide your mobile number, we use it to send transactional text messages about your order, such as order confirmation and order-ready notifications. Message frequency varies by your order activity, typically 1–2 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in/consent information with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
Third-Party Services
We share information with the following services only as needed to operate the site:
- Square — processes payments, manages orders, and runs our loyalty program. Your name, phone, and order details are sent to Square to create and fulfill the order.
- Vercel — hosts this website. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, URL) are retained per Vercel’s data policy.
- DoorDash — if you order through DoorDash, their privacy policy applies to that transaction.
- Google — we display our public Google rating and a few recent Google reviews via the Google Places API, and link out to our listing on Google. This is review content Google already publishes; we don’t collect any information about you to show it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party for marketing purposes.
Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It records anonymized page views and interaction events (such as completing an order) without identifying individual visitors. No tracking cookies are set; no PII is collected by analytics.
Data Retention
Order information is retained as needed for business operations and applicable tax record-keeping requirements. Loyalty account data is retained as long as the account is active or as required by Square.
Specifically, we retain order and financial records for 5 years to meet business, accounting, and tax record-keeping needs, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you by contacting us directly. Loyalty account deletion requests are processed through Square.
Security
Our site is served over HTTPS. Payment processing uses Square’s PCI-compliant card vault — we do not store card data on our servers. Order data in transit is encrypted.
